ABOUT ME

Nat Broussard graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in Spring 2020 with honors. Broussard now holds a BS in Art and Entertainment Technology with a focus in Projection, Lighting, and Interactivity and a BA in Studio Art as well as a certificate in Design Strategies.

An artist and designer, Broussard is focused on creating immersive and interactive environments for visitors and viewers. They hope to take the skills they have acquired and apply it in a way that promotes interaction with the viewer and for a live audience.

The University Theatre Guild

I Designed current logo being implemented across social media and marketing applications. I Create slideshows, calendars, and presentations and media for all meetings, and digitally document all UTG events as well as maintain the Instagram and other Social Media platforms. @texasUTG

May 2014 - August 2017 

CAMP COUNSELOR

St. John Vianney Catholic Church

Oversaw the safety and interaction between the 9-12 girls groups (20-25 campers), provided first aid if necessary, led the campers on field trips every week, and organize activities. Head of the Arts and Crafts Department 2016. Lead Counselor 2016-2017.

ELECTRICS SUMMER INTERN

The Alley Theatre, Houston, Texas

Electrics intern for the duration of the summer. Aided the Strike and setup up of two major shows (The Three Musketeers and The Murder On The Orient Express), Performed maintenance on the Neuhaus Theatre lights, and learned about various topics and skills within the Lighting Industry as an electrician and programmer.

LIGHTING TECH / STAGEHAND

Hogg Memorial Auditorium

In-House Lighting Designer and technician for live events, performances and Competitions. I program and design for clients based on submitted lighting forms and create the desired look or effect. I update, alter, and maintain the Lighting Plot and Magic Sheet in Vectorworks and Lightwright Databases.

Proctor and Supervisor for the use of projectors, computers, intelligent lighting and other equipment used for teaching, practice, and experience. I answer students’ questions about Hog4PC, LightConverse and other miscellaneous media and facilitate the use of equipment.

CONCERT AND EVENT LIGHTING

Advancement on the Hog Console, connecting of devices, and use of Reaper and Timecode in Programming. "Exploration of the styles, tools, and techniques specific to concert and event lighting production in a variety of environments: large-scale music venue, corporate ballroom, outdoor stage and intimate club."

Use Touch Designer to create and control visuals in real time and in reaction to another element.

"Continued exploration of dynamic, real-time visual computing toward the production of a large final project. Focuses on the inclusion of external device input/output and interaction with MIDI and OSC protocols for applications in interactive performance settings."
